First launched in 2010, Nalcor's Wellness Program is committed to providing both permanent and temporary employees the opportunity to integrate wellness into their day-to-day lives, and not just at work. The idea is to make small changes in lifestyle, with a focus on physical fitness, exercise, and community and family involvement. Healthy people are happy people, and Nalcor is committed to its employees' overall well-being, and not just from nine to five.

One of our wellness themes is heart health. An online survey -- the @liveWellness Navigator Quiz -- of Nalcor employees showed that there was a problem with overall physical health, with troubling numbers for blood pressure, blood sugar, body weight, waist circumference, cholesterol, and resting heart rate - all of which could lead to cardiovascular trouble.
